Center for Molecular Modeling

Faculty primarily involved with the CMM cluster:

CMM Liniac Cluster

This cluster consists of 88 compute nodes, 5 administrative nodes, 3 IO RAID arrays (totalling several TBs), connected by 2 Gigabit and 1 Myrinet network switches. 63 compute nodes are dual socket single core 2.2GHz AMD Opteron 248 1024K cache, 2GB RAM. 25 compute nodes are dual socket dual core 2.2GHz AMD Opteron 275 1024K cache, 2GB RAM. All of this is housed within three 42U standard racks. Torque and MAUI are used for scheduling and batch processing.

CMM New Liniac Cluster

This cluster consists of 72 compute nodes, 2 administrative nodes, 1 IO RAID array (several TBs), connected by 3 Gigabit and 1 Infiniband network switches. All compute nodes are dual socket quad core 2.66GHz Intel Xeon E5430 6MB cache, 8GB RAM. All of this is housed within three 42U standard racks. Torque and MAUI are used for scheduling and batch processing.
