   LRSM Liniac Clusters

   Alpha cluster consists of 64 compute nodes, 3 administrative nodes, 1 IO RAID
   array (700GB), 1 Myrinet high performance network switch, 1 3000VA UPS,
   4 serial console servers and remote power management cards in each node.  The
   latter two provide remote control, allowing response to most service calls
   without the need for physical colocation.  All compute nodes are Dual
   Processor 1.4GHz Pentium III, 1.25GB RAM, 18GB Hard drive;
   administrative nodes differ with 2GB RAM and 36GB Hard drives.  All of this
   is housed within three 42U standard racks.
